Dear Self … You Made It!
Dear Self,
Whew. You made it.
You fought through nights when the tears wouldn’t stop and mornings where getting out of bed felt like a battle. There were seasons where life knocked the wind out of you — heartbreak, grief, and those moments where you felt completely lost. But look at you now... still standing.
I remember when you felt like a stranger to yourself. Like you had poured so much into everyone else that you forgot how to pour into you. You were running on fumes — keeping busy, putting on a brave face, surviving... but not really living.
Piece by piece, though, you started coming back home to yourself.
You stopped performing. You stopped shrinking. You started honoring your truth — even when your voice trembled. You learned to be gentle with your thoughts, to quiet the noise of the world, and speak to yourself with love. You said “no” to what hurt and “yes” to what healed — even when it felt unfamiliar.
Healing wasn’t a straight path — it twisted, it backtracked, it got messy. But every journal entry, every silent prayer, every solo walk, every tear cried in the dark... those were all acts of courage. You didn’t wait for someone to save you — you chose to show up, again and again, for your own healing.
And now, there’s something different in your spirit. A softness. A strength. A knowing. Your eyes carry a light that didn’t exist before. Your smile feels rooted in something real. You wear your scars like art — not because you’re proud of the pain, but because you’re proud of your becoming.
You’re no longer looking for love to save you. You’ve realized you are the love. You are whole — not because life is perfect, but because you chose to reclaim every part of you that was left behind.
And I just want to say... I’m proud of you. So proud.
For surviving what tried to break you. For choosing yourself in a world that taught you not to. For loving yourself back to life.
This is the beginning of something new. Keep going. Keep growing. Keep blooming — because the version of you that’s rising?
She’s everything you prayed for.
With love and deep respect,
Me
